Game Night Show / Discord trivia

Your Discord call. Your game show.

Turn the usual voice-call hangout into a three-board trivia showdown. Game Night Show is a Discord Activity, so your group shares the game while staying in the call.

Start a Discord trivia night

  1. Gather in one voice call. Open Activities and choose Game Night Show. Friends should launch or join the same Activity in that call.
  2. Choose your questions. Party mix, Office friendly, Gaming, Screen & pop culture, and Wordplay are free question themes. Everyone Plays is the default.
  3. Start the match. Players take turns choosing a category and point value. The person who starts the room competes too.

If the Activity is not available on your device or Discord client, open the web game and share the room link while you keep talking in the call.

Everyone answers. Nobody has to sit out.

In Everyone Plays, each player types a private answer to the same question. There is no buzzer and no speed bonus: every accepted answer earns the question's points. Category instructions appear first when a puzzle has special rules. Then everybody gets a short look at the clue before answering opens.

The answer reveals after submissions close. You see your own result; another player's typed answer stays private unless they choose to share it for a group review. A majority of the other eligible players can accept a shared answer that the automatic checker missed.

Three boards leave room for a comeback

A match has 36 questions: four categories and twelve questions on each board. Values rise from 100, 200 and 300 to 200, 400 and 600, then 300, 600 and 900. Your score carries through the whole match. The highest total after board three wins.

Want a reader at the microphone? Choose Hosted Show before starting. One friend reads and judges without competing, while the contestants buzz in and answer aloud. Keep voice communication in your Discord call; the game does not add a separate voice service.

Free play, optional custom boards

Standard matches and the five question themes are free. Show Pass is an optional US$4.99/month Discord subscription for creating and editing custom boards, with room pacing and stage-style extras. Only the creator needs the pass; friends join and play free. Discord shows the final price and renewal terms at checkout.

Use the same linked Discord account on the website to access an owned pass there. Sound, music and volume controls are available in the game. You can mute them and keep using your normal call audio.
