A simple workplace trivia setup
- Open a room before the gathering. Check that your workplace browser and network can load the game. Keep a room link handy for colleagues joining late.
- Select Office friendly. It is one of five free question themes, designed as a broad-interest option for a mixed group. It does not require everybody to share the same gaming hobby.
- Use Everyone Plays. The organizer competes alongside the group. Keep your usual meeting call open for conversation and share the room link in the invitation or chat yourself.
Prefer to run the event from Discord? Use the Discord Activity in one shared voice call. Otherwise, everyone can use the website.
Set expectations before you press Start
A complete match is three boards and 36 questions, with standings between boards. Make room in your agenda for the whole game and conversation rather than promising a fixed ten-minute icebreaker. Players choose questions in turn, answer privately and earn full points for accepted answers; speed does not increase the award.
Special category rules appear before their questions, followed by a brief reading period. Encourage colleagues to read those rules, especially for word puzzles. Use the sound controls to lower the music during a meeting or mute it entirely.
Keep it comfortable for a mixed group
Introduce the game as a friendly individual competition, not a test of job knowledge. Offer people the choice to watch or join, and avoid putting anyone on the spot to explain a wrong answer. The default private-answer flow helps: there is no requirement to speak aloud or publish your submission.
Keep confidential company information, personal details and sensitive workplace jokes out of custom questions. Office friendly is a topic choice, not a guarantee that every question suits every organization. The organizer should decide what is appropriate for their group.
Free questions or your own company quiz?
You can play the standard bank and all five question themes free. Show Pass is an optional US$4.99/month Discord subscription that lets a creator write, generate and edit custom boards. Friends and coworkers do not need their own subscriptions to play the room.
A saved board contains four categories and twelve questions. You can use saved boards in the three-board lineup, with empty slots filled from the question bank. Show Pass also includes room pacing choices; the organizer's selected options apply to the room. Existing saved boards remain readable, playable and deletable if the subscription ends.
